Splash'N in the Middle East

H.E.L.L.O from the Middle East!

Well, we somehow managed to fly 15 hours across the Atlantic Ocean and now find ourselves in the beautiful country of Bahrain. Things here are a “little” different from our home in Ontario, Canada but there is there is one thing we have noticed in our travels; everywhere we go the people are so hospitable and friendly….and the children love to dance….. !

We have already performed one show in Bahrain and have 2 more shows tomorrow.

Bahrain is an absolutely beautiful country. We have seen many amazing things:

We found a huge outdoor market:

We took a trip to the desert to visit a farm…but this farm had something special. It had over 30 camels including a pure white baby camel… Taes even got a camel kiss

This farm also had jumping deer!

We found the “Tree of Life” which is this huge tree in the middle of the desert. It has been around for hundreds of years and its source of nutrition remains a mystery to this day.

We also came across a herd of wild camels crossing the desert .. Taes decided to stop and ask for directions:

Near where we are staying in the city of Manama is the Bahrain Fort. Archaeologists have dated some of its first foundations all the way back to 2500 BC….that’s kinda old

In 2 days we will be flying to Abu Dhabi to perform, then off to Dubai. It is hard to believe we are even here but we are loving every minute of it…
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying March Break. Thanks for all the messages and we will try to get another blog up really soon.

Bye Bye for now!

Love Taes and Nick…
P.S Harry the Parrot is becoming somewhat of a celebrity in these parts!
