The walk of fame...didn't see a Splash'N Boots star:

Then Headed to Beverly Hills:

After we drove to Venice Beach (this is muscle beach where all the famous body builders work out...!)

The beaches were beautiful:

We had such a great time and wantto thank all the families for dancing with us and making our first shows in the United States so memorable.

Falling into Fall

H.E.L.L.O!!!
It has been awhile since we last blogged- things have been very very busy. Hope everyone is doing well and back to school is loads of fun.

Since we last blogged we finished amazing 10 days in Prince Edward Island -what a beautiful place and a great event Old Home Week was. Here's a sunset picture from one our last night there.

After that we had shows in Cambridge, Peterbourgh and Barrie Ontario then Shawville Quebec, then rocked back out in Perth Ontario (Taes’ hometown) – lots of cute children there.
Here they are modelling our brand new T-shirts (send us an email if you would like to won one yourself!)

Then it was 10 great days of performing in London, Ontario at the Western Fair. It was so amazing to see so many of familiar faces from last year and those of you who were in out Whoopie Video! Despite some rainy days we had such a great time.

Well the summer leg of our tour in now done and we have some great fall shows coming up. As well, we are excited to put the finishing touches on our new album “Razoo” It is so close to being completely finished and we are so thrilled for you to hear it.

Lots more to tell you in the near future, so check back soon. Until then keep rockin and hope to see you at a show sometime.

From Mountains to Red Sand!

Hello from Beautiful Prince Edward Island!

Since we last wrote we have been hiking in Banff:

We ate cherries off the tree in Creston BC:

We did lots of shows at the second largest rodeo in Canada in Strathmore, Alberta:
I finally caved and bought a cowgirl hat... we turned in to regular cowboys

While in Strathmore we watched an event called "The Running of The Bulls" People pay $25 to run around a pen with a herd of bulls. We passed on that opportunity this year....but it was fun to watch!
We also met a man who travels around the world shooting himself out of a canon...what a blast

Then we flew from Calgary, stopped over in Toronto (but not long enough to go home...!), and landed in Charlottetown PEI.

..pretending we are in the Sound Of Music

We are performing here all week, and sneaking down to the ocean between shows. Even though it is not super warm we are going swimming before we go home!!
It has been great seeing so many fans from when we were here a few years ago and as always the island hospitality is incredible.

We fly home next Sunday and then have a show in Waterloo at 2pm at their Kidspark festival. Check it out:

Would love to see you there.

Happy August to all...

Hello From Calgary...again! (we are thinking we should probably buy a house , since we are here more then we are Ontario!)

We spent 10 full days at the Stampede filled with Cowboys, corndogs and Bull riding:

Then we packed up our suitcases and headed to Red Deer, Alberta to perform in their "Westerner Days". It was our first time in Red Deer. We did not see any Deer that were red, but we did meet some fantastic people.

We shared a stage with a group called "Dirty Dishes" from Toronto....man can these girls sing! Check out their website: http://www.dirty-dishes.ca/

Plus we got to spend lots of time with our great friend "Bandaloni". Yes, that is a full band strapped onto his back......and it sounds every bit as good. http://www.bandaloni.com/

Now we are back in Calgary enjoying some days off. Yesterday we went to the zoo. We saw Giraffes:

a Baby Elephant...awwwww

and my personal favorite...a baby Gorilla. It was the size of a real baby and the cutest thing in the whole world.

We also saw Hippos, but they were moving to much to get a good picture. I think they were doing the Hippo Stomp...which reminds me..

.As a preview to our new CD we are releasing "Frieda" for a free download. Just click here and save to your computer: http://www.splashnboots.com/

Tomorrow we are heading to Banff for some hiking and to see Lake Louise in the summer. Can't wait! Then off to Strathmore, Alberta for 9 shows!

Happy Summer to all. Stay tuned for more bloggin fun

Love,

Taes and Nick

The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind.
Before we left home we had shows in Cobourg, which we almost rained out…but not quite.

Then we went to Edmonton for Canada Day:

Then we drove to Calgary and have been Stampeeeding ever since. Lots of Cowboys and cowgirls here ready to do the Whoopie Dance. Here is a picture of a young cowgirl Charlise in her new Splash'N Boots T-Shirt:

It was amazing performing to thousands of people!

Everyday over 100,000 people go through the gate at the Stampede…soo many people! And every night there is a Grandstand Show that is truly spectacular.

Then we met Miss. Canada:

And hung out with the greatest a cappella group in Canada: The Heebee- Jeebees

Singing and Flying

Hello from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Wow- have we ever been busy the last little while. When we wrote last we were in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After our long drive home we spent the week finishing up our new album, then we re-packed our suitcases…and this is where things start to get busy…

We started by flying to Calgary, Alberta, where we performed in their International Children's Festival.
And what a festival it was! We met performers from all over the world, took in some amazing shows and performed for 5 days. It was so great to see so many familiar faces, and people singing along to our songs- can’t wait to see you all at the Stampede this summer!

From Calgary, we hopped on a plane to Toronto, Ontario. Then took a really really small plane to Kingston, Ontario. By small we mean 20 people on-board and that's including the pilot!

In Kingston we had a very exciting experience. A few months ago we got a call from Andy Rush (yup...that's him in the middle..)
Andy is an extremely talented choral composer and director from Kingston who directs the “Open Voices” Community Choir. Andy asked if he could write choral music to some of our songs and if we would be Guest artists in their Springtime Concert. We quickly agreed we would make the flight home. We arrived and were able to practice once with the band…then the next day we found ourselves on stage in front of 700 people performing "Good Day" and our brand new song "Nature Song" with a 100 person choir (who we had never met or practiced with!!) What an incredible experience. The choir was absolutely amazing. Not only were their harmonies and voices beautiful but they danced to the Pirate Song like I have never seen before!! (stayed tuned for some classic video footage)

After the two choir concerts we woke up at 4am and hopped back on our tiny plane to Toronto, then a bigger plane to Edmonton, Alberta, where we have been performing in the St. Albert Children’s Festival.

We were so excited to be a part of this festival again this year. As well as doing daily shows, we were a part of the Festival Finale Performance, along with performers from around the world. One of our favorite parts of these festivals is getting to meet people, and see their shows. We met people from Africa, Russia, Germany, Japan and of course Canada.

This morning we flew to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and will be starting shows here tomorrow morning. Our schedule can be seen here

In other news, our first full length DVD is now completely finished! It has been sent to the manufacturers and will be ready, for you to watch on your TV, by June 15th. Stay tuned……..

also we have new T-shirts! They are always available after a show.

Hope you are all enjoying the end of the school year...loving the summer breeze in the air!

Talk to you soon,

Taes and Nick

Fredericton of Fun!

Hello!
We are currently in the van on a Splash’N Boots Road Trip! We just entered New Brunswick and are headed to the provinces' captital; Fredricton to do shows.

This past weekend we were in Taes’s hometown of Perth Ontario where we performed 2 benefit concerts for “Bracelets of Hope”http://www.braceletsofhope.ca/ . What an incredible story- check it out! Here we are with Carrie-Anne, the girl who started it all:

Together we raised over $2000. Thank you so much to everyone who came out, and we wish everyone a safe trip to Zimbabwe.

This was our very first concert performing with a local Choir. This fabulous group performed two songs with us: “This is Our Home” and “I Love You the Most” They were awesome! We are excited about the possibility of performing with other local choirs in the future…

Last week we did two shows at Queen’s University, Kingston Ontario. One show was for over 600 students from bused in schools from around the city. The other show was unlike anything we have ever done before. We were asked to do a 25 minute show for all of the Graduating Teachers of the Faculty of Education. Picture 700, adults singing “wahooo wahooo” during the Treasure of Gold at the top of their lungs. The education system has a bright future with this group!

For the next few days we will be performing in local Fredricton schools. The weekend will be spent with shows at the FredKids Fair. Next week it is back to the studio to finish mixing the album, then off to Western Canada for Children’s Festivals.

Stay tuned for: The Splash’N Boots Show…our first DVD, coming soon!

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather. There are still traces of snow here in New Brunswick!
Hope to talk to you soon!

Love,

Taes and Nick

Abu Dhabi and a Dubai of a Time

H.E.L.L.O!

A new look for Splash?

Hope everyone is well. We are now back home in Ontario, Canada after an unforgettable tour across the Middle East. When we last left you we were still in Bahrain, after that we flew over to Abu Dhabi and performed at the American International School.

We then took the drive to Dubai. Dubai is an incredible city. There is one thing you notice right away as you enter the city

Yes- that is the world's tallest building and those buildings surrounding it are very big. Currently at 168 floors..yikes!

We also swam beside the world's tallest and most expensive hotel.... The 7 star- Burj Al Arab.

We had such a great time performing in Dubai....

This was such an amazing part of the world that we were lucky enough to visit and perform. Thank you to everyone we met overseas.

It is great to be back in Canada although the -10 degree weather was a little shocking coming from the 30 degree weather of the dessert. We will be heading into the studio tomorrow to continue to work on our upcoming album. We are very excited for the new songs and will be releasing more information on release dates and the Title of the album very shortly!

NEW!

If you would like to send us an email directly you can now email us at fanmail@splashnboots.com We will always respond as soon as we can.

We are off to Brandon, Manitoba at the end of the week so we will be blogging from there soon!

Bye for now!

Love
Taes and Nick
