-30 degrees..no problem. Here we come KIRKLAND LAKE!

We have just returned home from The Great North. Friday night we had a show in Kirkland Lake Ontario, which is about 600kms North of Toronto. Bright and early Thursday morning, Nick, my Grandma and I piled into our van and drive 7 hours straight North.

My Grandma was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, so she came with us to show us the sights. When we arrived it was a winter wonderland with a temperature of minus 30, and the snow piled high on the side of the road.

Friday we got the full Kirkland Lake Tour, complete with 2 museums. Kirkland Lake is a mining Town (lots of Gooolddd!!) Foster Hewitt called Kirkland Lake "the town that made the NHL famous" because so many hockey players were born there (ie- Ted Lindsay) We tried out our own hockey skills..

Our show was held at the College Auditorium.

Thanks to everyone who came- what an enthusisatic crowd- you guys were awesome. Here is a video of the audience giving a big Kirkland Lake Shout out during the show:

Stay tuned for our DVD preview, coming in just a few days to our website. The full length DVD will be released in April, and a new CD will be done by the summer...
We best be getting to work!
Thanks Kirkland Lake!!
Have a great week,

Love,

A Whole New Yeeeeaaaar...so let's give a CHEEER!

Happy New Year to all!

We had an amazing time in Barrie on New Years Eve- what a fantastic crowd-thanks for coming out.
And we had a dressing room right across from April Wine...so that in itself was exciting!
Here they are playing later: (I guess you could say we opened for them....well...a few hours before them :)
You are all hero's for coming out and braving the winter weather. I have to tell you we got shivers singing"This is our Home", and seeing 2000 people yell out CANADA while all decked out in tuques and mittens on a winter night... it was soooo Canadain
Here is our stage during sound check: (that is not us though....)

Harry is excited for the New Year. He ate a lot of Cheese at Christmas, and says hello to you all.

In fact, we just recorded a new Radio Show all about Harry's favorite subject....FOOD. It will be airing tomorrow. You can check it out: http://www.whistleradio.com/. Also our Radio show has been picked up by different Stations right across Canada. If you have a local station near you and would like to hear a show just for families played in your area, let us know!

Every week we read a new short story on our show written by YOU, so send in your latest creative writing and we will feature it. You can write about anything at all: just send it to: radio@splashnboots.com.

We are still filming for the DVD, the full length version will be released by April 1st, but stay tuned for a sneak peak of Rockin' Vegetable: The Music Video....coming very soon and featuring: The Rockin Vegetables:

Also, be prepared to meet Jumpin Jack Granny:

Can you guess who....?

And find out about what Nick did before he became Splash.....

HINT: it involves sandwiches

We are getting prepared for a trip up to the Great North to perform in the Kirkland Lake Theatre...

Write us a letter and send in your pictures and stories. Hope everyone is doing great!

See you soon!

We love eggs and toast..but we love you the most
